Hong Kong is a city constantly defined by its unique urban landscape of bamboo scaffolding and protective meshes—an ‘invisible presence’ that we often pass by without a second thought. Balancing the weight of a full-time routine alongside my artistic practice, I frequently find myself reflecting on these structures. For this piece, I combined this daily observation with local traditional building techniques, exploring the unexpected poetic harmony between rigid architectureand delicate craft materials.

This tailor-made creation was born from a challenge for Tincal Lab in Porto, Portugal, where contemporary jewellers from around the world were invited to converse with the theme "Jewellery and Architecture". The original artwork was acquired by a private collector during the exhibition in Porto.
